What is Media Transport Control?

Media transport control is a system UI that controls any media session that is running, i.e. music, video, etc. within Windows 10. It allows the user to quickly control (play/pause, forward and back) any media session that is running without digging for the source. It can easily be invoked by pressing the hardware volume keys.

User feedback & Opportunity

The UI can not be soft-dismissed, it is covering up a lot of user’s content, and it is showing up way too often in user’s view which is annoying the user. The current MTC design has been stale. The UI does not match with Windows 10X style.
